King or Chinook Salmon run usually starts in the beginning of June and run through the end of July.  King Salmon are the largest of the Pacific Salmon, weighing on average over 50 pounds.

Red or Sockeye Salmon run starts early July.  These massive runs make their way up the rivers in the millions. Almost every river system in Bristol Bay drainage gets Sockeye runs.  The Sockeye Salmon run is very important because the salmon spawn and die, providing the entire eco system with nutrients.

Chum and Pink Salmon runs arrive mid-June and run through most of August.  Chum Salmon are great fighters but are not usually considered game fish.  Pink Salmon only run every other year on even numbered years, and usually in very large runs.

Silver or Coho Salmon drive mid-August and stick around through the end of the fishing season.  Silvers are known for aggressive takes and acrobatic fights.  It's very popular to combine Silver and Trophy Rainbow Trout trips in September.
